Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park
Your adventure will begin with a pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or JKIA, followed by a direct drive to Lake Nakuru National Park—an adventure in itself!
On the way, you will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the escarpment.
You will then continue your journey and arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Upon arrival, check in at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, freshen up and enjoy a hot lunch.
At around 4:00 pm, after some time to relax, you will set out for an afternoon game drive. The game drive starts at the park gate, where the camp is located.
Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for hosting thousands, sometimes millions, of flamingos, hundreds of black and white rhinos and the highly endangered Rothschild's giraffes. The park also offers stunning scenery and the chance to see the Makalia Waterfall.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for a hot dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2 - Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will head to Masai Mara, one of Africa's greatest wildlife reserves.
You will arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch. Check in at Sarova Mara Game Camp and take some time to rest after enjoying a hot meal.
You will proceed for an afternoon game drive at around 4:00 pm. Masai Mara features Kenya's highest concentration of wildlife and is a highlight of every safari. You can easily spot the Big Five, along with many other animals.
If your safari takes place between July and October, you will have the chance to witness the annual wildebeest migration, considered the 7th Wonder of the World, especially as the animals cross the crocodile-infested Mara River.
After the game drive, we will return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy dinner, followed by an overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3 - Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, you will leave the camp with a packed lunch for a full day of game driving in the Mara Reserve, where you will search for Big Five and other wildlife.
Later, you will return to the camp for a lovely dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 4 - Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi and Departure
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before heading back to Nairobi.
Depending on your flight schedule, there are optional activities you can enjoy on this day:
* Take a boat ride and tour the Crescent Island Animal Sanctuary at Lake Naivasha ($60 per person). Don’t miss this unforgettable safari experience!
* Visit the Maasai market in Nairobi.
* Explore the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi.
* Enjoy lunch or dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant ($45 per person).
* Experience sightseeing in Nairobi.
After your activities, you will be dropped off at the airport for your onward flight.
